This poster was created in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to advertise a homecoming concert for German Indie band Annen May Kanterheit. Having studied German language for over five years, Annen May Kanterheit is one of my favorite German bands, and once selecting them as my subject, I decided to have my entire poster be in German. I chose a bold typeface that felt characteristic of German typography and created high contrast by placing the white type on a largely dark blue-violet background. The illustrated piano is casting a shadow in the form of Köln's famous skyline. I enjoyed creating the look of stark stage lighting as well as playing with a monochromatic color scheme.
